Significant innovations marked the year for the 1970 Senior Student Council with real progress
made on important issues.
The council this year carried forward the
momentum set in motion the previous year and moved ahead to make specific changes in certain areas of school policy.
The student body and the administration reached accord with respect to the ever- controversial dress code. There was a student- suggested revision of the trimester system. There was an absence of faculty from strictly student meetings.
James O. Broccoletti, president, exhibited strong leadership qualities. Arnold N. Kornblatt was vice president.
John B. Schwartz, as senior-class president, was also member of the council.
