Key Clubbers Continue Expansion
The Ward!aw Key Club, still expanding from its inception a year ago, eagerly took on many projects during the past year. They were all highly successful.
Adoption of an American Indian child high lighted the club’s humanitarian activities. Club members also spent time raising funds to feed needy families; collecting books and magazines for the Plainfield Reading Program; and aiding Project RUSH, Inc., which serves the needs of people in poverty areas of South Carolina. The club helped Wardlaw too, raising funds by snow shoveling and selling candy and firewood.
This year’s officers were Russell L. Hewit, president; David P. Karner, vice president; Bruce R. Clark, secretary; and Arnold N. Kornblatt, treasurer.
Key Clubbers looked forward with confidence to future efforts, and President Hewit observed that the group had earned the respect of both school and community.
The Wardlaw club, sponsored by the Kiwanis Key Club International, is advised by Mr. Joseph A. Nolan.
Russell L. Hewit, Key Club president.
