Mothers’ Association Plays Vital Role

Wardlaw Mothers’ Association officers for next year were presented
The Mothers’ Association has always played a vital Wardlaw role. The group hends every effort to make school life more pleasant. Spon soring the Thanksgiving dinner, run ning the mothers’ store for issue of athletic equipment, and serving refresh ments after homestand sports events are but a few of the many things the as sociation does for Wardlaw.
Fund raising has always been high on the organization’s agenda. This past year $20,000 was contributed toward the mothers’ lounge at the new Inman Avenue school. Funds were raised at the holiday fair in November and at the bridge luncheon in early March, both annual events.
A winter meeting that featured a successfully entertaining program, the bowling league, and a new and useful type of telephone directory were fur ther projects highlighting the year.
The association during 1968-69 was under direction of Mrs. Harry V. Os- home. Assisting Mrs. Osborne were the two vice presidents, Mrs. Richard M. Hale and Mrs. Benedict J. .Tor civia. Mrs. John T. Cole was treasurer with Mrs. James T. Reynolds and Mrs. Frank C. Dresdale as recording
at last Thursday’s spring meeting. Mrs. John Moment, Wardlaw
mother and professional florist, demonstrated table settings with flower and corresponding secretaries respec
tively. Mrs. David Quinlan, outgoing president, presented the new officers:
