 The Athletic Association
President—Saidee Sandford. \'ice-President— Catherine Ames.
Treasurer—Anna Frazar. Secretary— Constance Warnock.
During the week of October 23 to 27, 1916, two of the three meet ings of the Academic Ajssociation were dev'oted to the organization of an Athletic Association, as suggested by Miss Shaw. At the first of these meetings Catherine Ames was unanimously voted manager pro tern. At
the next meeting the following officers were elected: Saidee Sandford, president; Catherine Ames, vice-president; Anna Frazar, treasurer, and
Constance Warnock, secretary. After the election of officers, a constitu tion was drawn up.
The purpose of the Association is to further athletic activities and athletic spirit and to help the Physical Director. The members are all those who take an active part or interest in athletics and maintain a suf ficiently high standard in school work.
The Association has proved a success. Greater interest than ever before has been shown in athletics, the sports have improved, and school spirit has come up remarkably. The Athletic Association banquet was wonderfully successful, and there is every indication that Field Day will be equally so. It has been voted by the xA.ssociation that the banquet and Field Day be held annually.
