Firm Background
WGI is a full-service, multidisciplinary consulting rm with a solid history dating back to 1972. The rm specializes in planning, landscape architecture, engi- neering, surveying, and environmental services and is comprised of nine divi- sions devoted to the following disciplines: Planning, Landscape Architecture, Civil/Municipal Engineering, Transportation Engineering & Planning, Survey- ing and Mapping, Subsurface Utility Engineering, Construction Management, Parking Solutions, and Environmental Services. WGI and its professionals have a proven history of providing services for projects and continuing contracts for a multitude of agencies and municipalities. WGI is a national rm with o ces located in six states, of which Florida has eight locations. Our Corporate O ce is located in West Palm Beach with regional o ces in Tampa, Orlando, Port St. Lucie, Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Tallahassee, and Jacksonville. Our Tampa o ce will be the responsible o ce for this project with close support from our West Palm Beach, Orlando, and Ft. Lauderdale o ces.
WGI currently employs nearly 400 highly skilled and experienced profession- als committed to excellence and unsurpassed service to our clients. Our sta specializes in providing services to a wide variety of public clients, including countless municipalities, counties and the Florida Department of Transporta- tion. With our depth of sta , we are able to provide the City and the Imagine Clearwater project the most quali ed personnel, o ering the City the most competent and e cient service available. These sta members are knowl- edgeable and experienced in all aspects of the scope of services outlined in the Request for Quali cations (RFQ) and are familiar with the City of Clear- water and the Imagine Clearwater Master Plan, as well as local planning and zoning requirements.
WGI has assembled an unparalleled group of subconsultants to further strengthen our team. Rowe Architects Incorporated (RAI) will be providing all the architectural services on the project. RAI, a Tampa-based architectural design rm, has been nationally recognized dating back to 1965. The rm has
an award-winning history of providing quality architectural services on a wide variety of projects throughout Florida.
We’ve also added Booth Design Group (BDG) to further strengthen and support our Landscape Architecture division. BDG is a landscape architectur- al rm based in downtown St. Petersburg. They’ve provided design services for numerous parks, including MiraBay Park, Fishhawk Park, Waterset Park and Bexley Park to name a few.
Anston-Greenless, Inc. (AGI) will provide all mechanical and electrical engi- neering services. AGI is located in Tampa and has been providing mechanical and electrical design services to numerous municipal clients since 1991, in- cluding the City of Tampa and Pinellas County to name a few.
B2 Communications (B2) will provide public involvement services for the project. B2 is one of Tampa Bay’s top public relations agencies specializing in managing communications and public outreach communications. B2 has extensive knowledge of the Imagine Clearwater project, having provided the public outreach for the original Imagine Clearwater Master Plan.
Arehna Engineering, Inc. (Arehna) will provide all geotechnical engineering and materials testing services. Arehna has in-house drilling and coring capa- bilities as well as laboratory testing facilities in Tampa. They have provided geotechnical testing services for hundreds of sites, including numerous park projects. Julian Lane Riverfront Park, Colt Creek State Park and Honeymoon Island State Park are just a few examples of their park experience.
WGI believes in fostering relationships with our subconsultants.This group of subconsultants was selected because of their extensive knowledge of the area and the Imagine Clearwater project, but also largely due to long-term re- lationships we have with the rms and sta . This allows us to work seamlessly as a team, which is crucial for a project of this size and scope. This cohesive working relationship bene ts the City, ensuring that all issues are identi ed and recti ed early on, ensuring that schedules stay on track, and ultimately saving the City time and money.
