Coontie Hatchee Park Kayak Launch, Broward County, City of Ft. Lauderdale, Supervisor, Project Manager. The City of Fort Lauderdale is renovating the Coontie Hatchee Landing Park to create a canoe/ kayak launch and beach area. This project will entail removing sections of the existing seawall adjacent to the South Fork New River, creation of a mangrove island in the approximate location of the existing sea- wall and creation of a beach launching and landing area for canoes and kayaks. The scope of services include geotechnical investigation, site evaluation, design services, construction document preparation, permitting, limited bidding phase assistance, and lim- ited construction administration services.
PGA Marina Seawall, Palm Beach County, PGA Marina Partners LLC, Supervisor, Project Manag- er. As the project manager, Jeff was responsible for the seawall and dock assessment, as well as the re-

NE 2nd Avenue Street Improvements Phase II, Palm Beach County, City of Delray Beach. WGI served as the lead design engineer for the NE 2nd Avenue Roadway “Com- plete Street” Project Phase I and II and worked closely with the City of Delray Beach, the City of Delray Beach CRA and the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) on the reconstruction and roadway enhancements of this local arterial roadway located within a historical district of the City. Due to a signi cant portion of the funding coming from the FDOT Local Agency Program (LAP), WGI’s project engineer was responsible for the coordination and speci c deliverable requirements inherent in a LAP-funded project, and for ensuring all criteria and requirements of the LAP funding process were addressed and fully documented. The overall goal of the project was to enhance the roadway, which runs through a historical district, by designing into the plan traf c calming features including reduced traf c lanes from 12 feet to 10 feet, raised plateau intersections, paverbrick crosswalks, and landscaped bulb-outs. A unique feature in the design was the inclusion of green-striped bicycle lanes to clearly designate the lanes which was a key requirement of the LAP funding. WGI respon- sibilities included all aspects of the roadway and drainage design, surveying, permitting, street lighting, signage and striping, landscaping and irrigation, as well as the coordination of the LAP documentation which included the preparation of a Cultural Resource Assessment Study (CRAS) and an Environmental Resource Assessment report in conformance with the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), Federal Transit Authority (FTA), and the FDOT Agency Operating Agreement.
Delray Golf Clubhouse Emergency Operations Center, Palm Beach County, City of Delray Beach, Project Manager. The City of Delray Beach has requested a structural evaluation of the Delray Beach Golf Clubhouse for use as an Emergency Operations Center. WGI will prepare a written report summarizing the ndings and will provide recommendations for the use of the facility as a temporary emer- gency operations center, conceptual level improvements and costs associated with those improvements at various levels of protection including current building code and Category 5 hurricane force winds.
