KANSAS CITY, Kansas (AP)
— Benny Feilhaber scored
twice, Dominic Dwyer
added a goal in the 83rd
minute and Sporting Kan-
sas City beat FC Dallas 3-1
on Friday night to earn its
first win in six games.
Sporting KC moved into
fourth place in the West-
ern Conference with 44
points. FC Dallas remained
on 47 points and missed its
chance to leap Vancou-
ver to sit atop the Western
Conference.
Feilhaber opened the scor-
ing in the 65th minute on a
free kick. He curled a ball
around the wall that went
off the post and in. Feil-
haber earned his brace
from a penalty kick in the
76th, after goalkeeper Jes-
se Gonzalez fouled Dwyer
while battling for a loose
ball.
Dallas pulled to 2-1 in the
80th on Victor Ulloa’s shot
from distance.
Three minutes later, Dwyer
smashed a shot between
two defenders into the up-
per right corner.q
