Quality of Health Care Measured
CMS used Star Rating Methodology for these reports to
make it easy for the consumers to identify differences in
quality when selecting a provider
In addition, 2% point reduction will be applied by CMS to
those providers who do not comply with the reporting
requirements of OASIS quality data established by the
CMS for the reporting period.

The measures are reported at the Home Health Compare (HHC)
website on Medicare.gov
The Two Types of Star Rating:
o The Quality of Patient Care Star Rating is based on
OASIS assessments and Medicare claims data
o Patient Survey Star Ratings is based on HHCAHPS
