Course Objectives

After completion of this course, participants will be able to:

 Describe the clinical indications for male and female Foley catheter
insertion.
 Explain the guidelines and procedure for male and female Foley
catheter insertion.
 Perform return demonstration of male and female Foley catheter
insertion according to VNSNY policy.
 Demonstrate accurate documentation of male and female Foley
catheter insertion and care in HCHB.
