The Sun
To Egyptians, the sun represented
light, warmth, and growth. Thus
the existence of Ra was important
to them. The sun disk was seen as
either the body or eye of Ra. Being
the father of both Shu and Tefnut,
whom he created, Shu controlled
the wind of the world, as Tefnut
became the goddess of the rain.
