Immediately the wind rumbled
roughly and a great typhoon came to
destroy Malin Kundang’s grand ship.
Soon after, Malin Kundang’s body
stiffened and he slowly turned into a
stone.
Today, there is a human-shaped stone
in Air Manis beach, Padang, West
Sumatra, that is believed to be Malin
Kundang who has turned into a stone
from his mother’s curse.
