The reports, meanwhile, can
sometimes span several hundreds of
pages, and are therefore accompanied
by more concise summaries.
In addition, assessment reports can
take years to produce and can,
therefore, be somewhat outdated by
the time they are completed.
Often, breakthrough research and
observations are excluded because, at
the time the report was initiated, this
research was not available.
Climate change is a direct result of
human activity.
