In the north, we find the newest
region, known as the Arica and
Parinacota Region.This dry desert
region, being the country’s newest,
borders Peru to the north and
Bolivia to the east. The capital of
this region is the city of Arica,
and the land consists of deserts,
valleys, mountains and plateaus. It
also boasts the country’s highest
population of Aymara people, who
also live in Bolivia and Peru.
