The white light comprises all colors, but
the color blue is scattered more easily
when it hits the suspended particles.
Variations of blue or hazel eyes result
from different levels of melanin content
acting in conjunction with Tyndall
scattering.
Meanwhile, brown eyes are the result of
high levels of eumelanin.
Melanin pigment in humans accounts for
the different skin tones and operates to
protect skin against sunburns.
It also causes different shades of eye
coloration. The complexity and splendor
of zoological coloration is supported by
melanin, as well as a multitude of other
pigmentations.
