Shortly after king Uther had enlisted
Merlin’s help, the Duke of Tintagel died
during a battle.
King Uther was finally able to take Igraine
for his wife. When they had a son, they
named him Arthur.
But Arthur had to be handed over to
Merlin, forcing the king and queen to
forever part company with their child.
Merlin took prince Arthur to Sir Ector, the
king’s loyal ally. Arthur grew up in Sir
Ector’s castle. Sir Ector had a son, Sir Kay.
Sir Kay and his friends would make fun of
prince Arthur while they were growing
up, not knowing who he really was.
