to her classmates and teachers. Miss
Lou's parents saw that she was doing
well in school and how much she
loved Jamaican stories. As a reward
for good grades right after she
finished high school, her parents sent
her to a special school in the country
side where she could learn all about
Jamaican folklore. This special school
taught Miss Lou about the origins
of Jamaican folklore.
They introduced her to the
different countries in Africa where
a lot of these stories came from
