One version of River Mumma
tells the tale of a young man named
Bastian. He lived in a small village
that ran alongside a river. Bastian
worked on a sugar plantation and
was an honest and hardworking man.
He had a young wife named Saba
who he loved very much. One day,
Bastian was walking in the midday
heat and decided to go for a quick
swim. He pulled his cotton shirt over
his head and dove into the water.
He dove to the bottom of the pool
and stayed there for a few moments,
