When the Silk Road closed in 1453,
Europeans started exploring new
places. They wanted to find goods
that could be sold back in their land.
They used boats during the Age of
Discovery to travel by sea instead of
by land. This had a great impact on
the cultures that were explored.
Europeans influenced them with
their culture and religion, and also
claimed their lands in name of God.
However, this eventually lead to
weaker tribes to be dominated and
harassed by the European explorers.
