The most common rule is to move an email
from the inbox to a different folder, such as De-
leted Items. From the dropdown, choose Deleted
Items, then click OK (see the screenshot at left).
After your rule has been created, you can choose
to run this rule now. If you have a packed inbox that
you want to start cleaning up, check that box and
click OK. This will start processing the emails.
Let’s create one more rule. I purchase equip-
ment for our staff, and I need to send the receipts
to the person who manages the books. Find a
receipt that you want to forward. Right-click on
it and go to Advanced Actions > Create Rule.
This time, click on More options. In this screen,
we have a few options. The first line is just the
name of the rule. The second line is your condi-
tions. In our case, we are processing any email
from receipts@XYZCompany.com. Next, click on
the dropdown menu for Add an action and select
Forward to. Enter the email address that you
