Tom Fool’s rescue harness
What a versatile knot the Tom Fool’s knot turns
out to be! Not only can it be used to tie up and
mystify people (here and here), but it can also be
used to save them.
1 Tie Tom a Fool’s knot in the usual way (here).
2 Tie a half hitch on each loop, this time close to the knot itself, to
secure the loops.
