Cinquefoil

If a quatrefoil is made up of four loops, or ‘rims’,

then it follows that the cinquefoil has five. Bigger
but not necessarily better than its four-leafed

brother, the cinquefoil does fill an even bigger hole,
but it’s also less stable and has a tendency to lose its

shape. Use it for more decorative rather than strictly

practical purposes.

1 Form one overhand loop and one underhand loop in the end of the line,

as shown.
