Ossel knot
Despite its misleading name, this is another hitch,
also used by fishermen. Its structure is more similar
to a ground-line hitch than an ossel hitch, and it’s a
little more time-consuming to tie than either of
them, but it’s also more robust. Use it when you
need a secure knot that won’t slide easily.
1 Take a turn around the pole or spar, and pass the working end
diagonally over the standing part.
