Broach loop
Sometimes it’s hard to appreciate the beauty of
what we’ve got until we see the alternative. For
instance, what would a strong, secure, general
purpose loop look like if we didn’t already have the
bowline? The broach loop is one possible answer,
and it is arguably at least as strong and secure as its
better-known rival.
1 Put an unfinished figure-eight in the end of the line, omitting the final
tuck.
