Plain whipping
Far from being a dying art, whipping is still the
method of choice for many wanting to keep their
lines in order. A plain whipping is the simplest and
most popular approach, but there are other, more
decorative as well as more durable techniques.
1 Put a bight in the end of a length of twine and lay it lengthways along
the line.
