Plain handle wrap
The plain whipping is a fine, salty-looking knot
worthy of any ship, but it also has a very practical
use for non-sailors. Tied with some soft paracord, or
similar, it makes a comfortable wrap for carrying any
heavy object with a hard handle.
1 Put a bight in the end of a line and lay it the length of the handle. The
grooves in this handle are incidental – this method will work on any type
of handle.
