Double Simple Simon
Sometimes adding an extra turn to a knot can
do more harm than good. But in the case of the
Simple Simon, the extra turn definitely improves the
knot’s security. For a more permanent knot, tie a
seizing (eg a constrictor knot,) around both parts of
the bight.
1 Put a bight in the thick line and pass the thin line through the bight
under the standing part.
