Sewing knot 5: Sliding loop

This is a neat way to tie a loop (essentially a

double overhand loop), which could be useful to
anyone working with small, fiddly bits of string.

1 Wrap the thread around a pencil three times.

2 Lift the first turn on the left. Pass it over the other two turns and then

tuck it back through them.
