Great Queen Clara hitch
The multiple turns contained in the bigger sister
of the queen Clara hitch (overleaf) are designed to
withstand a longitudinal pull, particularly on a
varnished or metal spar.
1 Take a turn around the spar with the standing part, leaving plenty of
slack in the working end.
