Indian jug handle
The history of this knot can be traced back to the
ancient Greeks who, according to the Greek
physician Heraklas, used it to carry their amphorae.
A variation was also widely used by American
cowboys as a horse bridle.
1 Make an underhand loop and cross it with the working end as shown.
