               Two-strand plait sinnet

This is more of a wrap than a plait but will do the

job well enough. The outside ‘filler’ line should be at
least six times as long as the two foundation lines.

Its job is to guard the foundation lines against chafe,
and it adds little in the way of lateral strength to the

               line.

1 Take three lengths of cord and seize them together at one end. Two will

form the foundation, while the third (longer) strand will act as the filler.
