Spanish bowline

Although originally devised as a substitute

bosun’s chair, for health and safety reasons this use
of the Spanish bowline is not recommended

nowadays. Use it instead to create a double
attachment point or to spread the load when lifting

something heavy.

1 Find the middle of the line and make a large bight. Bend the bight

behind the twin standing parts to create two loops.
