Ocean Plat Knot

The ocean plat knot is a variation on the carrick bend,
described in Chapter 6. When the ocean plat knot is tied

with ⁄8-inch manila, it makes an attractive mat for the

area in front of an entrance door. A version in a smaller
size rope will make an excellent mat for stair treads.
