2> Make a loop with the two
right-hand strands, laying the
loop over the left-hand strands.
Make sure the working end of
the loop lies on top of the loop,
not under it.
3> Make a loop with the left-hand
strands, weaving them under
and over each part of the knot
to complete the loop.
4 > The first knot in the chain is
complete. Repeat these steps
to complete more knots until
the chain is the desired length
for the mirror.
To attach the chain to the
mirror:
1 > Place the chain on the mirror,
and carefully adjust the edges
and check the length.
2 > The ends of the bight on the
last carrick bend need to be cut
close and tucked in.

Keep in mind that everyone
ties differently. I pulled every bit
of slack out of the chain of knots.
Someone else may tie with spaces.
You might need to use more or
fewer knots depending on how
you tie them. Either way, the chain
of knots makes an attractive border
