        Houston Community College - Northeast, established in 1990, is one of six colleges in the

        Houston Community College System. Located in Houston’s industrial nucleus, HCC Northeast focuses on prepar-
        ing students for high-demand technical and vocational occupations. Career programs and services are offered at
        instructional centers across northeast Houston that include Northline Campus, Acres Homes Campus, North For-
        est Campus, Pinemont Center, Automotive Technology Training Center, and the Northeast Campus. The North-
        east Campus at 555 Community College Drive in east Houston is comprised of five high-tech educational facilities
        that allow students to obtain hands-on career training with state-of-the-art equipment and instruments. Campus
        facilities include the Codwell Hall, Learning Hub, Roland Smith Truck Driving Academy, Public Safety Center
        of Excellence and Global Energy Center of Excellence. Surrounded by manufacturing, chemical, petroleum, en-
        gineering, and energy businesses, the HCC Global Energy Center of Excellence is a direct conduit for industries
        looking to supplement its workforce with trained workers with hands-on experience in the energy industry. HCC
        Northeast also provides dual credit and Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) education oppor-
        tunities for high school students through a partnership with Houston ISD. Additionally, HCC Northeast is one
        of the largest vocational contributors to the city’s emergency response industry through its exemplary programs
        offered at the Public Safety Center of Excellence. HCC Northeast trains first responders in Fire Protection Tech-
