Johnson Scholarship Foundation CEO Report to the Board of Directors September 13, 2022
In September 2021 I provided a priority report that covered a rolling 3 years (2022-2024). I have included an updated report (2023-2025).
STAFF/ OFFICE:
On April 8, 2022 we moved to our new office @ One N. Clematis St., Suite 307 West Palm Beach, FL. 33401. Our office phone number has not changed. We continue to work out some of the office furnishings. The office suits our staff very well. It is smaller but laid out more efficiently for how we work as a staff.
We have continued our migration to QuickBooks financial software. Buzz has worked closely with Dick to facilitate the transition, but we still have work to do. Dick has maintained his spreadsheet accounting while we transition to the QuickBooks software. We continue to source Kiwi Partners (consulting company) to help with the transition. The goals of this project are to streamline our reporting, standardize our financial processes and update our accounting. We are working toward the goal of Templeton using our QuickBooks data in 2023 instead of Dick’s spreadsheets to conduct their audit. This project is also an important element of our succession planning.
DECEMBER MONTHLY REPORT:
We do not plan to publish a December Monthly Report. Directors are provided with up-to-date developments at the December GPC meeting and moving the publication of the Annual Report up to January creates workload issues at year end for this report.
DILIGENT BOARDS:
Migration of our historical material is complete.
OTHER MATTERS:
The Center for Effective Philanthropy has been engaged to conduct a Grantee Perception Report. They will present their findings to the GPC in December.
Sunday night, December 11, 2022 Susan and I would like to invite you and your spouse to dinner at our house on Singer Island. Weather permitting, it may include a boat ride.
