April Report 2022
Executive Committee meeting minutes (2)
4. Conversion of accounting reports
The new Balance Sheet Comparison and Statement of Revenue and Expenses were presented. Dick explained that these are generated through QuickBooks. The Foundation had more than 800 accounts in QuickBooks, so getting everything consolidated down to 100 accounts and organized in a manner that is easily readable has been a major undertaking for Dick and Buzz working with Kiwi consultants during the past five months. Dick pointed out that there will be a slight bit more refinement to the Statement of Revenue, but it is nearly ready. The two footnote statements that are shown on the “old” Statement of Revenue, Expense and Changes in Fund Balance will be used in the new Statement of Revenue and Expenses and updated to compare us with Foundations in our asset range since we no longer fall in the $150,000,000 to $250,000,000 range. With the Board’s approval, these new reports will appear in the April Monthly Report.
Through 2022, Dick plans to continue to maintain his current Excel spreadsheets as well as the new QuickBooks forms as a double check for accuracy.
