TSICJS Student Ambassadors volunteering at the Decision Day Celebration
GRADUATION
The Take Stock in Children Palm Beach/Johnson Scholars graduation ceremony was heartfelt and inspiring, celebrating our scholars' academic achievements and perseverance. Held at the South Florida Fairgrounds, the ceremony brought graduates, their families, mentors, and community supporters together. The evening highlighted the students' personal journeys and the program's impact on their lives. Each graduate was called to the stage alongside their mentor to receive their certificate, with their mentor walking them across the stage as a gesture of gratitude for their years of guidance and support. The ceremony underscored the importance of education and the role of community in helping students overcome challenges to achieve their goals.
Dr. Keven Allen, the Director of Development for The Kelly/Strul Emerging Scholars Program at Florida Atlantic University, was the keynote speaker at the event, sharing words of wisdom and encouragement. He emphasized the significance of the graduates' accomplishments and the bright futures that await them. The sense of pride and accomplishment was palpable as graduates and their families celebrated this significant milestone. The ceremony marked the end of the student's high school journey and the beginning of their next chapter, with many heading off to college.
