TAKE STOCK/JOHNSON SCHOLARS REPORT (10)
SENIOR SUMMIT
Every year, TSICJS holds a Senior Summit that serves as our final contact with our scholars before they begin their post-secondary education. One is facilitated at PBSC for students going there and any other college or university. Students attending FAU have their summit at Florida Atlantic University (FAU), facilitated by Kevin Allen, Director of Development for the Kelly Strul Emerging Scholars Program and his team. The overarching theme of the summit is to let our scholars know they are still a part of this network and we are still here to support them as they move on. We equipped students with necessary tools that would facilitate a successful transition into their chosen paths. Students were connected to how to keep in contact with TSICJS, how to maintain FAFSA and FL Prepaid scholarships, and they received a farewell token as we wished them well in their post-secondary endeavors.
