Welcome to the handbook for the 2020 TAMUK Study Abroad course in Paris, France. From
May 18-29, we will explore Paris together, with particular attention to how the city, its citizens,
and the famed Conservatoire, shaped and impacted western classical music and the arts through
19th and 20th centuries. This handbook will help guide you along the way; from language, to
customs to restaurants to required readings, everything you will need to get the most out of this
