5.4.1.4 Stall speed, bank angle and load factor
The diagram here
shows the relationship
between stall speed,
bank angle, and load
factor.
The load factor is the
ratio of lift to weight.
For example, if twice as
much lift is generated
as the aircraft's weight, the G-force is 2.
If the G-forces are too high, the aircraft may break apart.
Can you fly with 90° of bank?
It should not be possible to fly with a constant 90° bank, as the G-forces will
increase drastically, and the graph theoretically would never reach 90°.
