NABH Accreditation - do it Yourself

We all know the importance of NABH certification, Soon IRDA will impose
mandatory NABH certification for insurance tie up. Even otherwise process of
NABH makes hospital working proper, tidy according to all regulation and staff well

trained. This process helps to minimize human error in treatment and documents are in
line in today's world of medico legal problems
NABH consultants ask for 1 to 1.5 lacs for small single doctor clinic, how can we make it
affordable ?
I also thought same when I started my journey for NABH certification for Shivam Eye

Hospital, Majura Gate Surat, but could achieve it within a year doing it my own at the
expense of around 25000 rs. I would like to share the guidelines to achieve the NABH
certification by yourself.
For small clinics it's better to register as small health care organization entry level

Order for NABH standards

Keep legal documents ready
Hospital registration
Biomedical waste registration with local body and Gujarat pollution control

board
Fire NOC
Registration under PC PNDT if applicable
License to operate CT/ radiology equipments AERB license
if applicable
MTP license
Blood bank License
Lift license

MOU with ambulance if outsourced
MOU with clinical lab if outsourced
Drug license
