Time and Attendance Policy
Policy Details
It is the employee’s responsibility to clock in and out on a daily basis.
It is the employee’s responsibility to call leave into the Time & Attendance system (sick,
vacation, and floating holidays)
o Leave can be clocked in for future dates once it has been approved.
o Unexpected absences must be called into the system immediately upon
returning.
It is the employee’s responsibility to be on time.
Leave request forms are required for all clocked leave entered into the system.
Tardiness beyond seven minutes requires an explanation.
Overtime is approved on a case by case basis and requires pre-approval. In the event
that you find yourself in a situation out of your control and are required to go into
overtime, do not clock out until you are finished working and notify a supervisor as soon
as possible.
It is the employee’s responsibility to clock 40 hours per week and ensure time is
reported accurately.
Failure to comply with the Registrar Time & Attendance Policy will result in discipline up to
and including termination. Disciplinary measures will begin once three infractions occur in a
one month period.

Policy Details
Each department is responsible for maintaining accurate time and attendance records for all
employees within the department. For nonexempt staff, these records should be maintained
through the Time and Attendance system (KRONOS). Exempt employees must use the Exempt
Leave Tracking system in the Employee Self Service website. Each non-exempt employee must
accurately record for each pay period the hours they worked.
