                                                                     Diabetes mellitus is a metabolic disorder disease characterized by increasing blood sugar levels. Diabetes management







                                                                     lasts a lifetime, so it requires optimal self-efficacy. Self-efficacy is a person's belief in his ability to do something. Self-







                                                                     efficacy can be realized by developing the person's self-confidence, one of which is by doing self-hypnosis







                                                                     empowerment. The aim of this study was to determine the effect of self-hypnosis empowerment training on the self-







                                                                     efficacy of diabetes patients in West Denpasar. This study was conducted at community health care centres in West







                                                                     Denpasar. This study used quasi experimental with consecutive sampling technique. The respondents were 30 people in







                                                                     the experimental group and 30 people in the control group. The experimental group was given self-hypnosis







                                                                     empowerment training, while the control group only received standard therapy. Self-efficacy was measured by Diabetes







                                                                     Management Self Efficacy Scale. The results showed that there were differences self-efficacy scores between pre and







                                                                     post experimental group (p value = 0,000 < 0,05), there were differences self-efficacy scores between pre and post intra-







                                                                     control group (p value = 0,000 < 0,05), and there were differences self-efficacy scores between the experimental group







                                                                     and the control group (p value = 0,000 < 0,05). Health workers are expected to provide education for patients with







                                                                     diabetes to increase self-efficacy and motivation, for the realization of optimal health management behaviour.
