Among the subtle changes its host, Master Thomas Gordon made, he introduced the
founder of South Korea’s Special Forces fighting art (Teuk Gong Moo Sool), GM No-Won
Park to his elite group of Keynote Speakers.
The military art founder had this to say about his experience,
“Ï was very pleasantly surprised. In Korea, there is a very strong pecking order
of sorts in our martial arts culture. Although this was a Korean martial arts event
the participants walked shoulder-to-shoulder with the instructors, masters and VIPs.
Everyone trained so hard with no complaint! I was so impressed. Master Gordon has
good reason to be proud.
My protégé Master Steve Kincade has taught at this event for years spreading my art
of Teuk Gong Moo Sool to those who showed interest. I can see why he has returned
year after year!”
As with most events there was a social time and banquet, but much more important
were the seminar presenters that attendees had to choose from. Rather than just
being ordered from room to room participants got to choose how they spent their
hard-earned time and money. A true breath of fresh hour compared to the norm.
The top Keynote Speakers (The KMAF’s VVIPs) this year consisted of:
• GM Rudy Timmerman
• GM No-Won Park
• Dr. Hee-Young Kimm
• GM Ken MacKenzie
• GM In-Wan Kim
• Soke Micheal DePasquale
The weekend’s plethora of classes
were led by:
GM Jimmie Mickens
GM Steve Kincade
GM Jimm McMurray
Master Lord
Master Nikolai Lee
Mrs. Amanda Howard
GM Jim Faralli
