Overview of Green Ammonia Process
Production Process
o Hydrogen is extracted by passing electricity through water in an electrolyzer, with the electricity being sourced from renewable energy sources. o Nitrogen is obtained directly from air using an air separation unit which accounts for 2 – 3% of the process energy used.
o Ammonia is produced using the Haber-Bosch process powered by sustainable electricity.
