Sequential Batch Reactors (SBR)
SBR Sequence
SBR’s operate through programmed treatment sequences for each batch of
wastewater treated. Each sequence is precisely programmed to allow
enough time for each batch to be treated.
Each batch of programmed treatment sequences is considered a cycle.
An SBR Tank contains activated sludge, air and enough time to adsorb and
absorb organic pollution from the wastewater.
Each batch of untreated wastewater undergoes several phases of treatment
before it is discharged from the SBR.
