Incised digastricus muscle is apposed with mattress sutures of synthetic absorbable material. Subcutaneous tissues
are apposed with a similar material in a simple interrupted pattern. This is followed by skin closure using non-
absorbable suture material in a simple interrupted pattern.
POSTOPERATIVE CARE
Penrose drains are placed through the sialocele and maintained for 1–3 days to allow drainage.
