             14.14   Other Diseases Affecting the Elbow Region

             14.14.1  Calcinosis Circumscripta
             Calcinosis circumscripta (also termed tumoral calcinosis; Figure 14.12D) is defined as ectopic dep-
             osition of calcium salts resulting in formation of mineralization in the soft tissues (Tafti et al.
             2005). The condition has been described in young large-breed dogs with the German Shepherd
