SOFIA EL KHYARI
Born in Casablanca in 1992, Sofia El Khyari left Morocco for Paris after obtaining
her A-level. She followed an academic training in liberal arts, specialising in
creative industries management. Driven by a visceral desire for creation and
a fascination for movement and colour, she taught herself the art of animation.
Following various workshops in Bordeaux and Paris, she recently graduated
from a master’s degree in animation at the Royal College of Art in London. Her
last shorts travelled around the globe in numerous festivals and got a couple of
awards.
