You have been leading by example these last two seasons. I am grateful to have had the opportunity to march with you and know you are going to do great things in the band. You have a great work ethic and have always provided great feedback. Also, attending services with you during Rosh Hashanah made the service feel that much shorter. I am grateful to have performed with a great musician such as yourself and wish you the best of luck moving forward.
To Brandon:
it’s been awesome marching with you the last two seasons. Keep up the good work! To Brant:
You are always the first one at the field. No matter what it is, you are always one step ahead of the game. I would see you on campus with your saxophone telling me you are going to practice music for marching band. Being a first semester freshman, you seem like you have a plan of what you want to do. Just remember not to spread yourself too thin. I appreciate the times we have spent together and know that you will excel in whatever you decide to do in life. If you run for any political position in the next 5-10 years, let me know. You have my vote.
To Caitlin:
We go way back. We weren’t that close freshman year, but that’s okay since we had 19 in our rookie class and now there are only 5 of us. It’s been a fun ride and glad we were able to share a bunch of marching band memories together.
To Cassie:
You are a true leader on and off the field. You know how to get things done quickly and know how to address problems well. The fact that you are primarily an oboist, you are somehow still very good at the saxophone. I have enjoyed marching with you these past two seasons and wouldn’t be surprised if you were to become the next Drum Major of the UDMB.
To Erin:
Congrats on finishing your first season! It goes quick, trust me. It has been a pleasure marching with you this season.
To Holden:
I kept forgetting you were a Sophomore since it was your first season with the UDMB. I am glad you joined the band this year and hope you now understand how special it is to be a part of this band. Trash talking the Phillies with you was fun. Keep up the great work in everything that you do.
To Jacky:
Jacky, you are a pain sometimes, but always fun to be around. You always pointed out how little time left I had marching and how this would be my last time doing something band related. Thank you for being an awesome dot buddy even though you would dress to that Chex Mix on the field at the end of Space Oddity.
To Jared:
